Studies have shown that 80% of people don’t enjoy their work
Are you one of them?
Have you ever asked yourself, “Why are you doing the work that you’re currently doing?
Most people do the work that they’re currently doing because somebody told them that they’re suppose too.
…they fall into a routine and they’re too scared to change.
They’re scared of the unknown and they will continue to work a job that hurts them physically and mentally because the pay is good or because it’s secure.
These people will run around in this rat race, trying to work their way up corporate ladders or in their current job because they feel that it’s the only way to succeed.
And most of the time, these ladders are leaned up against the wrong wall, or no wall at all.
It’s crazy because I even found myself doing this at one point in my life.
Now I stumbled upon this awesome TED talk by a guy named, “Scott Dinsmore” that resonated deep with me. It’ resonated deep within me because I had a very similar journey to his and I think his advice is pure gold.
I want you to watch Scott Dinsmore TED talk, “How to find and do work you love“. It’s 17 minutes long but every minute is worth it, it’s that good.

Awesome presentation right?
Scott Dinsmore’s TED talk, “How to find and do work you love” resonated deep within me because a couple years ago I found myself stuck in a very similar routine that most people are in…
…and that’s doing work that you’re not passionate about.
Life was great. I was living in Whistler, BC which is a beautiful place. I was snowboarding almost every single day. I had great co-workers and the bosses were talking about management positions, etc …but it just didn’t feel complete.
It didn’t feel complete to me because at the ending of the day I was building someone else’s dreams and not my own. I couldn’t live with that. It was sucking the life out of me physically and mentally.
But by working at these places, I was able to meet some amazing people that shaped my life into the way it is now.
These individuals got me into affiliate marketing (earning an income on the internet).
And in a nutshell, that’s basically how I got involved in this industry – just through meeting the right people, seeing their life style and the income they were generating.
I would be their snowboard guide, teach them snowboard tricks, etc and in return they would coach me with affiliate marketing.
And just through hanging out with them, I knew that this was my calling. I knew I had to do everything in my power to learn these skills.
The majority of the people who knew me at the time thought I went bat shit crazy as this simple thing I was doing turned into an obsession.
But this obsession was worth it to me, because fast forward a couple years. I am doing exactly what I always wanted to do:
to be an entrepreneur, earn an income online and just live a life of complete design.
The road isn’t easy. A lot of people only see the end result but don’t realize all the things that go into getting there.
But like the TED talk says, love what you’re doing, try your best at whatever you’re doing and surround yourself with the right people.
Hope this helps.
